Who we are:

Inovus is a MedTech company that was founded in 2012 by Jordan Van Flute and Dr Elliot Street. Our core mission is to provide affordable access to surgical training and education equipment around the world. Over the past decade we have been working towards achieving this goal and have thus far democratised access to this equipment in over 75 countries worldwide.

In 2018 we began to develop software applications around both our existing products and those in R&D. This move looked to position the company as a tech player rather than just a manufacturer. This included the development of LapAR™ a revolutionary augmented reality laparoscopic simulator for use in general surgery and gynaecology. This enabled surgeons for the first time to perform full simulated surgical procedures from the comfort of their own homes using only the simulator and a personal computer. Movement metrics and video footage are captured during a procedure and then made accessible via a web-based learning management system/portfolio for review at a later date. This model provided a platform for thousands of surgeons around the globe to continue their training during the pandemic, which is something we are very proud to have been able to support.

With the launch of HystAR™ in January 2022, we continue to challenge the industry narrative by producing affordable, highly realistic training solutions for surgeons and hope to continue expansion into many other surgical specialties over the next few years.
