Who we are:

Inovus is a UK based manufacturer and designer of a plethora of surgical simulation devices. We work mainly in the field of minimally invasive surgery with a specific focus on general surgery and gynaecology. Our products allow a surgeon to work through the necessary steps of a procedure in a safe environment away from patients.

The company was founded following a piece of undergraduate research that looked at predicting surgical performance. During the project it became apparent that access to surgical training technology at that time was limited for a number of reasons. In 2012 we set about solving this problem by creating a range of affordable systems for surgeons to use both at home and at work. Our ethos remains and we only continue to further develop the technology across several surgical specialties.

In 2020 we launched the first in a series of products that use augmented reality to create the most immersive and realistic simulated experience possible. Inovus pioneered a new patented technology that blends real soft tissues made from silicone with digital anatomy that responds dynamically to the surgeons’ movements. This is made possible through the perfect symbiosis of hardware, replica tissue and software engineering.

This approach to immersion and realism in surgical training is something that we plan to expand across our entire product portfolio. Any new members of our team will play an integral role in NPD as we move into several other surgical specialties over the course of the next few years.
