Manufacturing Collaboration Award, Winners

The very best in the region’s manufacturing sector have been celebrated at Insider‘s 2018 Made in the North West Awards, with a smart bodysuit developer, an independent dairy and a family-run bakery scooping prizes on the night. Entries for the awards, which were handed out at a ceremony at The Lowry Hotel, were up by 50 per cent on 2017, with North West Business Insider editor Simon Keegan saying the prosperity of the region depends on manufacturing companies. The event was held in association with the Department for International Trade and sponsored by Perpetual Partnerships. Jumpstart sponsored the networking booklets.

Inovus Medical were honoured to be shortlisted for both the manufacturing innovation and manufacturing collaboration awards at this year’s event. Both were hotly contested categories and Inovus were delighted to be crowned winners of the manufacturing collaboration award thanks, in part, to their work with the Royal College of Surgeons and Medtronic to deliver affordable laparoscopic simulators to the Gaza strip and Sub-Saharan Africa. The award was presented to Inovus CTO, Jordan Van Flute, who praised the hard work of the entire team at Inovus. Inovus Medical now go forward to the national finals to be hosted in Liverpool during the International Festival for Business. The National finals bring together all the regional champions of the Made Awards to battle it out for the overall crown in each award category.
