Commercial Team
You will be joining a team headed by the company’s Clinical Co-Founder/CEO and supported by a growing commercial team across the USA. You will report directly to the Director of US Sales.
Role:
The key role of the Product Specialist is to play a critical role in accelerating US revenue by driving awareness, generating and qualifying pipeline, and ensuring sold products are implemented effectively and adopted by end users. The role is designed to support and augment senior sales leaders by taking ownership of high-volume awareness activity, product expertise, and implementation, allowing senior team members to focus on conversion and closing.
This is a junior, high-energy, high-output role suited to an individual who is motivated by travel, customer interaction, and operating at pace. While the role does not carry an individual sales target, it is a core contributor to revenue generation and is held to clear, measurable standards of performance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
This role involves frequent travel, sustained customer-facing activity, and operating at a high pace. Candidates should be comfortable with extended periods on the road and motivated by a hands-on, dynamic working environment.
- Attend and represent Inovus Medical at congresses, conferences, labs, and events across the US
- Execute outbound awareness activity including calls, emails, and demo-setting
- Initiate and progress conversations with clinicians, educators, and other stakeholders
- Capture and qualify leads accurately, ensuring high-quality information is recorded in CRM
- Maintain a high volume and pace of activity in line with agreed expectations
- Assess and qualify opportunities against agreed criteria
- Prepare and execute clean, structured handoffs of sales-ready opportunities to the appropriate sales owner
- Protect senior sales time by ensuring only well-qualified opportunities are handed over
- Maintain strong collaboration with the senior sales leaders in the team
- Deliver high-quality product demonstrations independently
- Support customer evaluation and early-stage decision-making through product expertise
- Lead implementation of sold products up to go-live, including setup, configuration, and user training
- Coordinate with Operations, Product, and Customer Success to ensure smooth delivery of products
- Support early adoption and utilisation in the initial post–go-live period
- Maintain accurate, timely CRM records for all owned leads, opportunities, events, and implementations
- Provide reliable visibility to the Director of US Sales through consistent reporting
- Operate with strong personal organisation and attention to detail despite high travel demands
- Will be expected to travel >50% of the time with frequent plane travel
Qualification/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. Degree discipline is flexible; science, engineering, healthcare, or business-related fields are beneficial but not required.
- Early-career professional experience in a customer-facing, commercial, or operational role. Examples include sales support, field-based roles, clinical support, customer service, or similar environments.
- Demonstrated experience engaging confidently with customers, clinicians, or professional stakeholders
- Evidence of operating effectively in fast-paced environments requiring high activity levels, Strong organisation and consistent follow-through
- Proven ability of effective written and verbal communication and listening skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and confidently
- Strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction
- Ability to effectively work on and manage many priorities at one time and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Competent in the use of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook), Hubspot and cloud accounting systems (Xero)
- Highly driven with a strong motivation to succeed
- Clean Driving License valid for the USA
- Fluency and clarity in written & spoken English
- Right to work in the USA
Required Training:
- Satisfactory completion of all role specific modules in company LMS
- Two weeks of on-site training at USA HQ in Tampa, Florida
- Up to Two weeks on-site training at Global HQ (UK)
- Up to one month additional product training in field
- Training on how to use CRM, accounting and other company software systems
- Health & Safety Training, as required
How Performance Will Be Measured
At Inovus we use Job Scorecards to define outcomes and what success looks like for these outcomes. Performance will be measured in accordance with the Job Scorecard for this role (see separate).
