The British Chamber of Commerce launched the campaign to recognise the incredible work that UK businesses and individuals are doing, in the most challenging of years. Nominations were put forward by area Chamber of Commerce and the St Helens branch nominated Inovus Medical® as a business hero based in their local area.  
 
The UK Business Hero 2020 accolade pays tribute to companies such as Inovus Medical® and recognises their contribution to their local community their support to customers both in the UK and across the globe.  
 
Receiving the UK Business Heroes stamp demonstrates that Inovus Medical® have gone the extra mile to support their local community by increasing jobs and career prospects in a wide range of specialities from a diverse talent pool within the St Helens area in what has proved to be a challenging period.  
 
The company have also assisted in the fight against Covid 19. As the pandemic began to take a hold in the UK the Inovus Medical® design and engineering team were called upon to support a consortium of seven F1 teams supported by leading medical device manufacturers who had responded to the government’s challenge to design and manufacture ventilators and other breathing aids to help in the fight against Covid 19.  
 
Having utilised the engineering might of these motor sports giants to design the products, the project reached a stage of needing component parts manufactured in high volume. With these sorts of parts usually having turnaround times of months, and with an immediate demand for the lifesaving equipment, the consortium turned to a select group of manufacturing firms with the skills and equipment to enable large scale manufacturing with lightning fast turnaround.  
 
The Inovus Medical® team were well placed to step up to the challenge and were able to support the consortium with the manufacture of vital component parts turning them around within the space of one week.
