LapAR supporting Olympus Medical national training programme

Since adoption of the LapAR platform manufactured by Inovus Medical the Olympus Medical Systems UKIE, BSGE Blended Learning Laparoscopic Gynaecology Skills Development programme has been successfully introduced across a number of UK based educational settings.

The programme includes pre learning and vital hands-on training through use of the LapAR which has proved to be invaluable in assisting trainees in mastering key surgical skills.

With the real feel soft tissue models and real laparoscopic instruments the LapAR provides unparalleled functionality which has proved to be the case and is evident in the feedback received from the Educational Leads at Olympus along with the BSGE trainees on the programme and faculty members supporting them.

Kelly Stacey Head of Professional Education Olympus Medical UKIE says, “A lot of simulation people try to sell industry does demonstrate skills but doesn’t give you real feel haptic feedback, it’s just simulated. So, the ability to track the instruments in 3D and give you real time haptic feedback is phenomenal”.

But don’t just take our word for it click on the link below to view Kelly Stacey’s experience of working with Inovus, the utilisation of LapAR and the valued opinions of some of the trainees who attended the latest programme:

If you would like hands-on experience of the LapAR email: info@inovus.org or visit Inovus medical at the BSGE ASM 21st – 22nd April at Stand GS1.
