The ALSGBI Laparoscopic Surgery Training Day offers a unique opportunity for a dedicated full day of hands-on practical training at the top-class KARL STORZ facility in Slough. Trainees will have the opportunity to spend a day in the company of experts in Minimally Invasive Surgery.

Training will be aimed at developing core skills in laparoscopic surgery, with the opportunity for competency assessment during the day. Participants will be encouraged to practice for their LapPass® qualification and develop techniques for more advanced laparoscopic suturing on the LapPass® kits designed and manufactured by Inovus Medical.

An Inovus Medical Regional Manager will be on hand throughout the day to demonstrate LapAR™ the high fidelity laparoscopic simulator the latest in cutting edge simulated surgical training. The simulator combines natural haptics with AR digital overlays to produce a highly immersive and realistic training experience. The system, which has seen widespread adoption across NHS Trusts, includes a distance learning platform that enables surgical trainees to track their training data, connect with senior surgeons and review simulations.
